AT&T was named the official wireless provider of the 2012 Charlotte Democratic National Convention in a press conference Wednesday morning.The 2012 host committee joined Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx and other city leaders to make the announcement. The company will enhance communication abilities for the convention this September, and those enhancements will stay for AT&T users locally after the event. The company said it has invested $1.3 billion in North Carolina since 2008 and will have 10 cell sites on wheels in Charlotte for the convention. - WCNC |
