Nate Silver Who? Josh Putnam Nails Electoral Vote

While everybody sings the praises of Nate Silver we're very happy to see that our friend Josh Putnam nailed the electoral college prediction on Frontloading HQ.

I asked Josh how it feels to beat the almighty Nate Silver:

Very gratifying, but the polls were unusually consistent through the averages this year.

I think it's time Davidson College drops the assistant from his title and make him a full-time professor.

True, this prediction held, but Nate Silver's predictions for popular vote fell within the margin of error (in many cases far closer) in all but two states, which is almost godlike. The projected map on his site had all the correct colors too, so we shouldn't be so quick to write him off. Josh Putnam definitely deserves that promotion though.
