CHARLOTTE – With the deadline less than two weeks away, the Democratic National Convention Committee is asking local firms to submit prequalification information in advance of bidding to provide exposition and event services for the convention. The convention’s exposition and event services needs cover all types of businesses—from tenting to fencing to graphic production.

All firms wishing to bid for a subcontract must register with the Convention Vendor Directory at www.demconvention.com and submit prequalification documents. Prequalification forms are due by April 13.
The DNCC previously awarded Hargrove, Inc., one of the top general services contractors in the United States, with the exposition and event services provider contract in October.

The DNCC will evaluate the proposals based on numerous criteria, including, but not limited to: experience, reliability, relationships to Charlotte, North Carolina, and the surrounding region, participation of union labor, women, minorities, veterans, LGBT and persons with disabilities, and local resources to support the endeavor.
