Say "Goodbye Medicare" if the GOP wins....Platform is out

The GOP accidentally leaked a copy of their platform, and Politico snagged it before the RNC took it down. It's printed below.

Of note, Medicare becomes defined contribution in lieu of defined benefit, which we discussed here.  Bottom line: if you disliked 401(k)s in lieu of pensions, you're really going to hate this. In addition, they'll be planning on raising the age at which one can collect. Decreased costs to current seniors for the donut hole? Gone. Gay marriage? Gone. Public education? Mostly gone. You get the idea....
