| Cleveland bowed out early in the bid for the 2012 Democratic National Convention. It appears that some people there are determined to get the 2016 bid. Cleveland has had a wealth of experience competing to host either the Democratic or Republican national convention. In the past 76 years, it has had no experience in winning that competition.
